Companies House records an undertaking under section 7 of the Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986 and says he was disqualified for conduct while acting for John Barnes Media Limited. ITV News reported the Insolvency Service said the company did not pay 78,839 pounds in corporation tax from August 2018 to January 2020 and 115,272 pounds in VAT from February 2019 through 2020, and that HM Revenue and Customs was its only known creditor when it ceased trading.1,2
